I’m a Nevada Native with a heart to help others seek healing.  After teaching in China for two years, I came to Colorado to continue my education. While in massage school I fell in love with the state and decided to stay.

Along with my CMT licence, I have a B.A. in Liberal Studies concentrating in Business and Health and an A.A. in Physical Education.

I began my career at a spa in Highlands Ranch. Then a door opened for me to find Synergy Health and Wellness. I’m super excited to be apart of this team!!!  I have been practicing for 8 months. My techniques include Hot Stone, Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sports Massage. I love my job!

Shawntel graduated from the Denver School of Massage Therapy, Aurora campus, in August 2010.

I studied 13 modalities in Eastern and Western medicine. I specializes in Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, prenatal massage and sports massage.

I also enjoy adding energy work into my sessions for all over mind, body, and soul  relaxation and healing.

The Synergy Health And Wellness Center in Littleton, Colorado keeps expanding it’s natural health solutions beyond massage therapy, by adding more practitioners from various fields.

Our newest practitioner is Naturopathic Doctor Katherine Peterson.  Here’s some information about Katherine to help you get to know her.

Dr Katherine Peterson ND, owner of ‘All Around Health’

Dr Katherine Peterson ND recently relocated to her home state of Colorado.  Her practice was as a Primary Care Physician in Vermont where she currently maintains her Naturopathic Medical license.  She is a 2009 graduate of National College of Natural Medicine in Portland Oregon with advanced standing in minor surgery and certificate training in Obstetrical care.

During her studies she worked in urgent care, women’s health, pediatrics, minor surgery, and IV therapy.  She worked as a primary intern on Dr Martin Milner’s Cardiovascular and Lung clinic spending an entire year working closely with individuals suffering from high blood pressure and advanced COPD.  She has had a lifelong interest in medicine and has a diverse background from ski patrol, EMT, chiropractic assistant, hospice worker, personal trainer and yoga instructor.

Dr. Peterson loves working with patients of all ages.  Some of the techniques she incorporates are nutrition, exercise, manipulation, hormone therapy, amino acid protocols, IV therapy, Homeopathy, Botanicals, breath work, meditation, yoga, and counseling.  Dr. Peterson enjoys working with individuals who might be struggling with addictions, weight problems, thyroid and other hormonal imbalances, body image issues, fertility concerns, women’s health and pediatrics.

She is a mother and feels it is important to help support and educate parents so that they can make informed decisions when it comes to their child’s health and well-being.  Her passion in medicine is in the full scope of family medicine.  It is her belief that we walk hand in hand with our healthcare providers learning ways to reach our own individual optimal health.

She feels very strongly about meeting an individual where they are personally and using the diverse tools that Naturopaths are trained in to work with that individual’s needs and preferences to reach and maintain a state of health and well-being.  “Health is not just about treating disease when it knocks on our door it is also working closely with the body, mind and spirit to feel nourished and balanced on our journey through life.”
